CB Mills is currently seeking applications for the following positions:
1. Design Engineer
The Design Engineer will develop and design metal pressure vessels, metal storage vessels and other fabricated metal components. As a key leader of the engineering development team, the Design Engineer will participate in the specification, design, and test of these vessels. The design tasks will require sound engineering design principles and practices as well as following published vessel codes and standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, responsible for the mechanical engineering aspect of shop fabricated pressurized and non pressurized storage vessels, general design of fabricated components.
Provide technical support to shop production, sales engineers and other technical personnel, and may be responsible for the administrative duties of a small work group and quality control, although engineering work performed is more important than the supervision aspect.
Review new and existing mechanical engineering design requirements, interpret and apply good engineering principles using UL, API and ASME Code specifications in accordance with the latest published issue.
Produce simple line drawings for fabricated vessels with support bills of materials using Autocad Mechanical, Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks software.
Perform calculations for pressure vessels using computer programs and models.
Perform calculations for metal storage vessel using UL-142, API-620 and API-650 standards.
Meet with inspectors and assist in quality reviews
Work with our ERP system creating Bills of Material, Labor Routes & manufacturing guidelines, Manage Engineering Change Orders, create and monitor Item Masters.
Review welding procedures and maintain support documentation.

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. A minimum 3-5 years of mechanical engineering experience.
