Principle of Operation The drum/tank washer consists of a pressure wash pump, a wash solution take-away pump, and a clean-wash medium rinse pump. The wash solution is recirculated to minimize the clean-wash solution.
When the wash cycle is complete, the clean rinse solution is activated; volume required is typically < 3 gallons. Typical wash cycle times are 3-5 minutes per tank.
The washer nozzle is driven by the wash solution flow. The nozzle is geared to prevent free-wheel spinning. The spray pattern is directed for maximum impact and complete coverage.
Production Drum Washers  Famous for versatile, high-quality tank, tote and drum washers, CB Mills’ “new” Drum Washer solves the problem of cleaning 30 to 55-gallon drums. It eliminates the operator’s exposure to cleaning solutions and vapors.
All the cycles are fully automated with the use of our PLC Systems. The operator places the drum in position and pushes the “start” button. The drum is washed in an inverted position; therefore, bottom drains on the drum are not required.
Once the drums are clean, they are ready to reuse or recycle. The high-pressure wash nozzle cleans with water or solvent, eliminating all foreign materials from interior surfaces. The wash solution can be recycled and reused during the wash cycle or the wash solution can be used once. A rinse cycle using clean, unused wash solution can be incorporated into the wash/rinse cycle.
Production Tank Washers  The Tank and Tote washers clean tote tanks and open-top portable tanks from 6” to 80” in diameter. This Series washes with a high-volume pressure spray. The spray-wash pattern insures all interior vessel surfaces are washed.
This Series of Tank Washers can additionally clean 55-gallon open-top drums with the economical Drum Washer option. Operation is managed by a PLC with an intuitive operator interface. The PLC insures that washing only takes place when all safety devices are satisfied. The operator only tasks are to move the vessel to the washer, lower the gasketed lid into position, and to push the “Start” button. Is that easy!
